About Spooky Nights

Spooky Nights in October is the largest, longest-running, and most terrifying weekly horror film festival hosted in a private residence in the East End of Pittsburgh.

Every weekend in October, we screen a hand-picked horror film paired with cocktails, snacks, and petrifying activities. Spooky Nights has been giving adults nightmares since 2008, creeping through four different neighborhoods and spawning three franchises in other states.

We also publish a small print magazine called the Ghost Gazette, which concerns horror movies and all things spooky in Pittsburgh.

Creators and hosts Pat Francart and Sara Zullo view Spooky Nights in October as a multimedia art project focused on conjuring that ineffable sensation of Halloween-time, and an exercise in taking things way too seriously.
